India in New Zealand, loses 5th ODI by 87 runs

A listless Indian cricket team slumped to its worst ODI series defeat in New Zealand, going down 0-4, after the Black Caps hammered them by 87 runs in the inconsequential fifth and final one-dayer in Wellington on Friday.

Delhi discoms hike power tariff, millions likely to be affected

People in the national capital will have to shell out more money for electricity consumed from tomorrow as the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission on Friday hiked the power tariff by up to eight per cent amid a tug of war between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and power companies.

According to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), the BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) increased its tariff eight percent, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) by six percent and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) by seven percent.

LPG connection portability

Cooking gas i.e. LPG consumers can now switch their suppliers as M Veerappa Moily on Wednesday approved inter-company portability on the lines of the facility that allows mobile phone users to change operators while retaining their numbers.
